Plamedie Masiala grew up loving all things fashion and style. It was and still is one of her greatest passions to this day as a senior pursuing her degree in Apparel, Textiles and Merchandising at CWU. Now she’s on her way to making her dreams come to life by starting her own online fashion boutique, called La Vie Chic. Here’s why you should get to know this Cool Cat.

What are your personal goals in life?

My personal goal is to own a house by 24 and to have my own in-store Boutique by the age of 28 in Atlanta and/or Downtown LA.

Any career goals you hope to accomplish?

Aside from owning my own business, I would love to become a trend forecaster. A trend forecaster tends to travel and figure out current trends that are going to come out between the next two – five years. Plus, you get to attend Fashion Week and go to different fashion shows all over the world. Since I always loved keeping up with new trends, this is something I have always wanted to do.

What are 3 fun facts about yourself?

I am really good at doing makeup, I speak fluent French and I am fast.

Do you have a quote you live by?

It’s not a quote but a Bible verse, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Every time when I have a bad day and/or things aren’t going my way, I like to repeat this over and over again as a reminder.

Where can we find you hanging out?

During my free time I like modeling and taking pictures. I guess people can find me at my house, but I don’t like people coming to my house. So, you can always find me on social media.

What can you tell me about your business La Vie Chic?

I have always wanted to be a businesswoman because of my dad. He has his own business and he inspired me to start La Vie Chic in 2020 of December. The name of my business is French, and it means the Chic Life. I just wanted to the name to be part of me and where I was from. My online store boutique so far it has been doing good and I have been getting lots of sales.

What is your favorite childhood memory?

My favorite childhood memory is running track and placing first and winning lots of medals. I had to stop in college because it was taking all my time and couldn’t work or focus on my major.
